I was just prescribed katarya emulsion for malasma on my face. will this prescription or its ingredient hydroquinone pose a risk of flaring up new spots of vitiligo where applied? i have 3-4 spots of present vitiligo on my body, none on face?

Hydroquinone will not cause vitiligo but there have been reports of it occasionally causing increased pigmentation. You should avoid the sun and use sunscreen while you are using it.
