Some one told me thyroid nodule in people under 35 or over 50 it is likely cancer.how true is this?

I don't believe that is true. Thyroid nodules need to be examined thoroughly with physical exam and ultrasound if deemed necessary and possible biopsy to be sure cancer does not exist. Cancer can occur in the thyroid at any age and appears to increase with age.
