I have been on vyvanse for 3 months and it has changed my life. i feel like i cannot function without this medicine. however, i have slowly developed severe cystic acne over my face. can drug induced acne be treated without stopping the meds?

Theorectically the Vyvanse can cause the acne because it is a stimulant (but it is not proven well by reaseach). It would be best to treat the acne separately and continue the Vyvanse since it helps you so much. Avoid sugar and see a doctor to treat your acne.

Severe cystic acne is not a hypersensitivity reaction to Vyvanse and is very unlikely related to the medication. Consultation with dermatologist is advised.
