I tested positive for herpes 1 but never got a cold sore thanks to god. my doctor said its only the anitbodies. are the cold sores only on the lip or can they grow inside the mouth? how can i know for sure im having an outbreak if i never got one?

Oral herpes (cold sores) almost always is on or near the lips, but on rare occasions can show up elsewhere on the face. Sores inside the mouth (e.g. canker sores) rarely are herpes. You can google oral herpes for photos of typical outbreaks. Half of all people in the US (and up to 90% in some areas) test positive for HSV1. Usually it doesn't matter. This should be no big deal for you.
