A member asked:

Hello, i live in canada and my daughter bathed in a lake but did not dip her head in the water, she received droplets but no water in her nose, maybe on the edge of her nose but not inside directly, is she at risk of having naegleria fowleri?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If she didn't stir up sediment in shallow areas of the lake with warm water & didn't have significant quantity of water enter her nose, I'd say her risk is negligible.
