When a food in a jar got bad (rotten or got mold on it) i throw the food rinse the jar and wash it in dishwasher. is it ok?

Once the rotten food is removed and the jar is sanitized it should be ok to use. If overly concerned you can sterilize it in a pot of boiling water.
