My son has febrile seizures with external hydrocephalus. he has not had the mmr and chicken pox. he has severe eczema. is it safe to give shots?

Shots are safer: Those immunizations are much safer than actually having chicken pox, measles, mumps, or rubella (German measles.) I would not recommend that the get the combination shot (MMRV which has all those things) because the risk of febrile seizure is slightly higher than getting the two shots separately (but still at the same time.)

Generally, YES.: Unless your child has a specific contraindication to live virus vaccines, (eczema is not a contraindication) it's important that he gets all of his immunizations. Any of these common "childhood illnesses" could be devastating to him. You and your family members should also get the yearly flu vaccine and either MMR vaccine or proof of immunity plus vaccination against whoopinp cough.
