Bupropion, commonly known by its brand name Wellbutrin, is an antidepressant medication that is primarily used to treat major depressive disorder and seasonal affective disorder. While it is generally well-tolerated, like any medication, it can uncommonly have side effects. In rare cases, bupropion has been associated with hallucinations and delusions, particularly in older individuals.

People of any age may experience those side effects with bupropion, and they should be reported to the person’s doctor immediately. A drug’s whole list of side effects can be lengthier than the space here provides, so bupropion’s may be found here: https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/getFile.cfm?setid=a435da9d-f6e8-4ddc-897d-8cd2bf777b21&type=pdf
