I'm more familiar with fecal calprotectin, but fecal lactoferrin levels under 7.5 micrograms per gram of stool are felt to rule out inflammatory bowel activity. High levels are seen in inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal infections & colon cancer..Levels are less high with small intestine disease. You don't mention what your symptoms are. Your gastroenterologist will properly advise you.
