If you have a history of dysplasia with prior pap smears, a repeat pap smear may be appropriate for management during and after pregnancy.

A person consents to health care to begin with. You do not "have to" participate in any health care at all. A properly done pap smear is no risk to a pregnancy when done in the normal course of an evaluation. It can identify issues that place the pregnancy or the life of the mother at risk. It is important you share any concerns about such procedures with your doc.
