When i have anxiety i don't have get a fast heart beat or palpertations i cant even feel my heart beating fast but the doctor has given me propranolol a beta blocker is this still ok to take as i need something to calm the anxiety only?

Yes, propranolol is sometimes used as a way to control the symptoms of anxiety, particularly if someone is having a lot of sweating or shaking associated with their anxiety. If your doctor prescribed it, you should give it a try to see how it works for you. Good luck.
