26f 51 97 lbs used to weigh 130. diarrhea, tingling hands/feet, loss of appetite, super bloated stomach even after eating a handful worth of food, nausea, nervous, worry, even a week of vomiting. doctor thinks anxiety? can it really be that damaging?

It is impossible to get a good diagnosis without knowing the results of any testing that you’ve had done, but anytime someone has diarrhea and unexplained weight loss, they need testing done to determine the cause and to treat it. If you have not seen a gastroenterologist, you may benefit from that. If you have, you should follow up since you are still not improved. Good luck.

Yes, anxiety can cause significant damage and overlaps with eating disorders that may become life threatening. However with above symptoms and significant weight loss the work up for all possible causes should continue and even extended to conditions other than gi related in case no answers.
