Acute diarrhea after a head cold. lasting two weeks so far. stool test shows +lactoferrin. all other stool tests normal. normal colonoscopy 6 months ago. worried about ibd but it came on so suddenly, im hoping for bacterial infection instead. ideas?

If your symptoms have only been going on for two weeks, I would not immediately jump to the conclusion of inflammatory bowel disease, unless you are seeing bleeding or having other associated symptoms. Because could be viral, bacterial, or related to other causes. You should see your gastroenterologist if the diarrhea persists. Good luck.
