A member asked:

If im hpv vaccinated since i was 21 whats the chances of testing positive for hpv if my husband has it? i really hope the vaccine protects me?

Some studies in the pre-vaccine era showed ~70% of college age women tested positive for HPV exposure. The first HPV vaccines helped prevent 2 or 4 strains and the latest 9 that produce the most associated problems. There are HPV strains not covered by the vaccine and no vaccine would stop all possible transfer. It is the best we have & vaccinated women have less to worry about.
