A member asked:

My doc prescribed me metformin and spironolactone, the last 3 weekends i kinda have been drinking a lot and end up doing cocaine. do i need to worry about mixing that with my prescriptions?

Drinking and cocaine are health hazards for your body. The presciptions you are on suggest your body is already in trouble. Cocaine can cause cardiovascular attacks that could be deadly like heart attack. Alcohol may cause many problems including gradual liver damage apart from the problems of being drunk.

You are playing with fire, and your safest bet is to stop immediately both alcohol and cocaine. If you need help, addiction crisis centers and/ or Alcoholics Anonymous are available. You are urged to be proactive, and also inform your "doc" about what has occurred.
