Chances to develop significant side effects from taking antibiotics are very low, always possible otherwise. The good news is that you might not need them for a probable UTI, you either need to confirm an infection or to have proper diagnostic work up and a firm diagnosis for your condition. Not all urinary symptoms are UTI’s.

Most antibiotics these days are very safe. As long as you are not allergic to them and you are taking them as prescribed, the chances of having a significant reaction to them are very small. Drink plenty of liquids. Be sure to have a urine test done before seeking antibiotics. Good luck.
