Was playing basketball and received trauma to the eye causing subconjunctival hemorrhage. more than half the white of my eyes are now red. is it safe to continue weight lifting during this. injured today?

I'd avoid such straining for fear of aggravating your subconjunctval hemorrhage. Further blood vessel rupture could occur. Wait until clearing of the blood from the white of your eye.
