What does non dilated bowel mean on an abdominal ct scan with contrast? my radiologist report was very vague with all organs just saying no significant abnormality. was seen in the er for abdominal pain. is it safe to say no mass was found?

The phrase “non-dilated bowel“ means that the bowel that was seen on the scan was not larger than it should be. This does not rule out a mass, but it does rule out an obstruction of the bowel itself. Good luck.
