Did you ask your doctor when she did the breast exam? Google the term "vitiligo", a common cause of patchy loss of skin pigment. It's harmless unless in a cosmetically sensitive location. If that doesn't fit -- or if it does and you remain concerned -- see a dermatologist. In the meantime, this doesn't sound like anything dangerous, like cancer.

I have a small hole next to nipple that disappears and blends in with nipple when hard. what can this be? doctor did a breast exam recently and found nothing abnormal, no lumps? no redness, areola looks otherwise normal?
