The HIV virus lasts only a few hours outside the body and on surfaces. If the blade was cleaned than the virus was destroyed. A acidic or basic fluid will kill the virus. If any virus on blade was present it would have been killed. No concern but ask what cleansing fluid was used. The virus is contracted with a blood to blood contact.
