Deep vein thrombosis is a condition where a blood clot forms in one or more of the deep veins in the body, usually in the legs. While it is possible to feel some symptoms before a clot forms, it is not always the case. Some people may feel pain or swelling in the affected leg, while others may have no symptoms at all. In some cases, a DVT may be discovered during a routine medical exam.
