I would advise that you not take the hydroxyzine after drinking alcohol, even 8 hours later. It is not known how quickly you metabolize alcohol because everyone is different. Both alcohol and hydroxyzine can sedate you and decrease your breathing so if you fall asleep, you are at risk of respiratory depression which can be dangerous. You should wait 24 hours before taking hydroxyzine again.
