How long do i have to wait after drinking 4 beers to take atarax (hydroxyzine) for anxiety?

Oversedation?: I am not aware of any untoward reaction by combining hydroxyzine and alcohol. The average person after drinking 4 beers is not anxious and if you are still anxious I would seek an explanation for same. My best guess is that you have an alcohol use disorder but a thorough history and exam would be helpful. The risk of combining atarax and alcohol is over sedation.
