A member asked:

I have an orthopedic appointment on the 23rd because i had an mri on my left knee and there were some findings (femoral condylar friction syndrome and tiny partial thickness cartilage defect.) im just wondering what to expect at my appointment?

Likely you will be advised to take anti-inflammatory mediciation if you can tolerate as well as ice it. Possibly physical therapy too. In regards to the partial thickness tear, these treatments often also settle that down but if persistent symptoms athroscopy could be advised. Surgery is definitely not urgent though. Different orthopedists have slightly different approaches. So see what they say.
