Have you had an echocardiogram that showed no significant abnormalities like mitral valve prolapse? You can have ectopic beats even without valvular heart disease. If you're concerned about palpitations or premature heart beats, get checked with an EKG and by wearing an outpatient heart monitor for 48 hours or longer to determine whether you're experiencing significant cardiac arrythmias.
