You need to see your doctor to have this evaluated-you likely need some labs checked including checking the stool for microscopic blood and a blood count to see if there is signs of infection and/or anemia. You may need to see a GI doctor for a work-up depending on what the labs show. There are many possibilities so you really need to see your doctor and have this checked. Good luck!

There are many possible reasons for the acute onset of diarrhea. The key here is to avoid dehydration and figure out the cause of the diarrhea so it can be treated. Begin by seeing your primary doctor or a gastroenterologist. Drink plenty of fluids in the meantime. Good luck.
