My labs showed high iron. i am not supplementing or eating red meat. i menstruated a week before my labs were taken. iron: 214 range: 27-159 ferritin normal, uibc: 124 range: 131/245. i asked my doctor but we aren't sure why. what should i do?

Your labs showed high iron levels despite not supplementing or eating red meat. You mentioned that you menstruated a week before the labs were taken. It is possible that her recent menstruation could have caused the high iron levels as blood loss during menstruation can lead to increased absorption of iron from the gut. Further testing may be required.
