Biologics: Injected weekly low dose Methotrexate is clearly a good drug for juvenile arthritis but doesn't come close to an ideal combination of weekly Methotrexate (12.5-20mg) and a biologic (Enbrel, Remicade, (infliximab) Humira, Orencia). If a patient cannot take Methotrexate due to liver disease or extreme sensitivity to it, then a sufficient dose of a biologic med alone will often work to put disease into remission.
