Hi i removed a indwelling foley catheter 3 days ago. i'm urinating out of a hole outside my stomach. do i need to see a doctor to close the hole in my outer stomach and bladder or will it close on its own. thanks?

The stoma site does typically will close on its own-you should put a dressing over it. Are you urinating at all through your urethra? If not, you should see your urologist. If you are urinating mostly via the urethra with some small leakage of urine from the stoma site, the stoma should close in time. If it is not getting smaller over the next week or so, see your urologist. Good luck!

Without knowing more of the history- why you had the Foley cath. Hard to say. I think you should see the talk treating you asap. Good luck
