I have been diagnosed with pancolitis. i have had diarrhea for four days straight and it is now a slimy bright green sludge. i began flagyl and cipro, how long it will take for the diarrhea to stop and my stool to return to normal?

The answer here mostly depends on how severe your colitis really is. These two will return to normal when the lining cells of the colon are able to regenerate. I would imagine you will begin to see some improvement within a week or two. Maybe sooner. Make sure you stay well hydrated. Good luck.
