NGU results from chlamydia (20-30% of cases) and Mycoplasma genitalium (15-20%); and uncommonly Ureaplasma (maybe), herpes, trichomonas, herpes, other viruses (like adenovirus) (under 5% each). All totaling ~50%. The causes of the other 50% of cases are entirely unknown; research on this has been unsuccessful for several decades. MicroDX has not been studied in NGU, but unlikely to be helpful.
