If the fluid is in the eustachian tubes then using an antihistamine such as claritin or equivalent can be helpful. If the fluid is in the ear canal then putting Swimmers Ear drops (there are many products on the market) to dry out the fluid in the ear canal - a homemade version of half rubbing alcohol and half vinegar mix and using this for drops also works for the ear canal.
