Dr. Neil McLeod answered

Specializes in Prosthodontics

Transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT) is a surgical procedure used to diagnose and treat bladder cancer. During the procedure, a cystoscope is inserted through the urethra into the bladder, and a small wire loop is used to remove the cancerous tissue. You will need preparatory blood work, anesthesia, biopsy analysis, bleeding control and postoperative care

Good morning. It is TURBT . A special instrument is inserted inside the bladder thru the urinary tract in the penis and bladder tumor is removed- under anesthesia. Generally a catheter is left in place for a few days
