Bladder cancer: Early stage bladder cancer can nearly always be successfully treated without major surgery. It is important to follow the surveillance cysto protocol after initial cystoscopic treatment (resection) due to the tendency for superficial recurrences. Cure is a relative term when dealing with some cancers.
