Possibly. There may be an involvement of the phrenic nerve and I would consult a GI for further evaluation if the symptoms are troublesome.

It is likely more than just GERD, specifically the shoulder pain (with different possible roots depending on side). GERD might be worsened by a different condition. Would suggest timely evaluation by her doc.
