Cardiac workup: Chest pain accompanied by nausea and belching may represent heart disease. A normal resting ekg however is not sufficient to exclude heart disease. An exercise stress test and an echocardiogram can help assess for blockages and structural heart disease. Consultation with a cardiologist would be important and immediate trip to er via 911 also if the pain returns.
