It is hard to estimate the amount absorbed in the cited situation. The slushy material is what goes through the small intestines where absorption occurs. Diarrhea results when the large intestines fail to remove water from the feces. If diarrhea moves stuff from stomach to outlet in a day, less is absorbed. Your doc can monitor the success of treatment with future testing.
