The tibialis anterior muscle is located in the front of the lower leg and is responsible for dorsiflexion (lifting the foot upward) and inversion (turning the foot inward). Tightness and stiffness in this muscle can be caused by a variety of factors, including overuse, injury, or poor posture. Stretching and strengthening exercises can help alleviate these symptoms.
