If you are certain you are pregnant then this is not your period, it is bleeding during pregnancy. Bleeding during the first weeks of pregnancy can range from light spotting to heavy bleeding and there can be different reasons. I would see your prenatal care doctor to further assess what is going on, and she or he may do an exam, labs or and ultrasound as next steps.
