I am 47 f. my recent blood test shows fsh 159 iu/ml, lh 69 iu/ml. i didn't have periods for 8 months but have one now. all the reports including ultrasound, biopsy are normal. what could be the underlying cause? why do i have this range?

You are in the perimenopausal phase with oligomenorrhea and high gonadotrophic hormones (FSH, LH) from the pituitary. You period will stop completely soon. If US and endometrial biopsy are normal then you have nothing to concern. Good luck.
