Is it possible to get an ultrasound done without having an obgyn?

Any licensed physician can request an ultrasound examination. It doesn't have to be an ObG. However, if a woman has a suspected pelvic or lower abdominal disorder, her ObG is most likely to accurately determine whether pelvic ultrasound would be helpful in diagnosis or other aspects of clinical management.
