Bell's palsy recovers fully - even without treatment. Anti-inflammatory medication and even prednisone as well as antiviral medication (although there no real proof of benefit from antiviral medication). Physical therapy. Because the eye on the affected side doesn't close, it's important to take steps to protect and care for that eye. Using lubricating eye drops during day. Patch at night.

It's up to the physician who made diagnosis of Bell palsy. Corticosteroid has often been prescribed to expedite the recovery in adults.
