I take amlodipine 5 mg tablets for coronary spams. they are small tablets and for some reason always seem to dissolve in my mouth before i am able to swallow it. does this affect how long it lasts or how well it works ?

You must be sucking on the tablet as if it were candy. You need to put the tablet in your mouth and immediately take a swallow of water to get it down. It is likely that the dissolved tablet in your mouth with enough water will have the proper effect.
