Does getting blood drawn frequently damage the vein? if so, how frequent would do this?

Blood drawing almost never causes significant damage to the vein. If your doctor has recommended a blood test, definitely do not delay because of this concern. No harm will come.

A vein can be blown from a blood draw or an IV placement causing some bruising and swelling. This isn't serious but it can take 10-12 days before the vein can be used to draw blood. The vein can be used many times as long as there is no trauma to it.
