A member asked:

My hsg findings shows left tube opacified up to distal isthmal region while right is blocked at cornual region?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Regardless of where in each tube there is obstruction, and no free flow of dye was detected, consult your GYN physician for guidance, as "in vitro fertilization" may be your only alternative. Sometimes a "distal isthmal obstruction" can be removed surgically, but successful pregnancies are rare at age "40", and medication to enhance ovulation may be required.
