Can a blood smear show blood cancer pv? or blood disorders?

A peripheral blood smear may show circulating leukemia cells but not other cancers as a rule. In PV, a smear may show crowded platelets& white blood cells, but the diagnosis requires certain blood count levels and bone marrow findings.
