According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it is recommended to clean breast pump parts after each use, but boiling is not always necessary. Washing with soap and water or using a dishwasher is sufficient for most breast pump parts. However, certain parts, such as bottles and nipples, should be sterilized by boiling or using a steam sterilizer at least once a day.
