If a permanent crown suddenly started to feel high after it was installed 9 days ago, what does this sudden change indicate? what would cause a crown to suddenly start feeling high more than a week after it was adjusted for my bite and then cemented?

Your opposing dentition may have shifted or supererupted. Your dentist will have to check.

Could be you were numb when you gave the bite registration and gave the wrong bite. Also possible crown not cemented all the way down, Have dentist recheck seating of crown with an x-ray.
