Is it normal for a tmj flare up to be extremely painful? like a migrainex10? i have had them before but this last one lasted for hours in my jaw, ears, head, back of neck, and behind my eyes. i had to be in the dark without noise. why is it worse?

See your dentist and possibly have a visit with an oral surgeon. Appears you also have migraine, and this should be managed preventatively by a neurologist. Have all of this fully sorted out and addressed.
