I had a baby in sept 2022, i had muscle twitching all over in dec, mostly gone in may. neuro diagnose as bfs. ana 1:80 homo in jan. retest in may at 1:320 homo & speckled, had a bad cold 2 weeks before. dna tests neg. can illness give false pos?

A viral infection, like a heavy head cold, is one of the things that can affect an ANA test. Repeat it some time in the future unless a rheumatologist,who knows your case well, thinks you have an autoimmune disorder. The clinical picture makes the diagnosis.more likely than an ANA on its own.
